Ripley recently took X and confirmed the one thing that she is still not allowed to do, following a post from a fan. 

Ripley responded to the meme 

An user, @sapphicscreams, posted a meme stating that ‘Grandma stays in the cage until WWE allows Rhea Ripley to say c**t on television. While it is deemed offensive, in countries like Australia, which is also the native country of Rhea Ripley, the word is most commonly used as slang. 

Ripley responded to that meme with an image of a skeleton in the cage, indicating that Grandma will never leave the cage because the company would never allow her to use such a word on television. However, it remains to be seen if restrictions like these will be lifted once WWE Raw moves to Netflix. 

Mami is set to face Liv Morgan at Bad Blood 

Interestingly, Mami got a huge match coming up on Saturday. Rhea will face Liv Morgan for the WWE Women’s Championship at Bad Blood, while Dominik Mysterio will be locked in a shark cage above the ring. Many wrestling fans are wondering if Ripley will be able to regain the title she never lost. Well, chances are that Liv Morgan definitely has something on her sleeve. Since her heel turn, Morgan has been one of the most resourceful superstars, especially after she joined The Judgement Day.

The Shark Tank stipulation might prove troubling for the former Women’s champion, as Liv Morgan will most probably call backup for her Dirty Dom. There are rumors that Raquel Rodriguez might interfere in the match at Bad Blood if she gets cleared to return. Interestingly, the 16-time WWE Champion John Cena made a guest appearance on the premiere of season 36. 

Cena helps in delivering the baby

With Comic Book Guy and his partner having a hard time as the latter is about to give birth to a baby on the former’s store floor, John Cena appears through the door, playing himself and declares that all is well because he is the only licensed midwife to win 16 WWE Championships. Then Cena steps in to help deliver the animated baby. 

Before leaving the store, Cena makes sounds like a baby and gives the newborn his signature catchphrase, “You can’t see me.” The “Cenation Leader” also pokes the baby’s head at the end of the episode to inspire Bart, quite literally, when he feels the pressure to blow out his candles and officially turns 11. 

The Hitman was the first wrestler to appear on the show 

John Cena’s appearance on The Simpsons not only makes him the second wrestler to appear in an episode of the show, but he’s also the first to receive this honor in nearly 30 years. The last time a wrestler appeared in The Simpsons was Bret Hart. He was a guest star in a very famous episode of The Simpsons, during which he came to Springfield to buy Mr. Burns’ mansion.

A well-known wrestling superstar has recently expressed his desire to return to WWE, as he thinks he can make a difference this time. The superstar in question is Matt Cardona, who was released by the company back in 2020. Cardona, who was previously known as Zack Ryder, had nearly a 15-year stint in WWE. While many wrestling fans were disappointed with his release in 2020, Cardona found his groove in the circuit, becoming one of the most wanted free agents.

Recently, Matt Cardona posted a video on his YouTube channel and reflected on him completing 20 years in the wrestling business. He also recalled being fired from the Stamford-based promotion and strongly believed his years in wrestling are still ahead of him. 

“It’s been a great year, celebrating 20 years in this business, 20 years since my first match, four years since I was fired from WWE. Now I’m just coming back from injury,” said Cardona. He further stated that his doctors said it would take six to eight months, but he just took four months to recover. Cardona reflected on the fact that he is not getting any younger and he might not even hit the peak of his career, but he feels like his best years are yet to come. 

“I’ve done it all on the indies. Winning titles, being on the cover of magazines all over the world, and it’s been fun, and I needed it, I needed to find myself, both as a performer and as a man,” said the former WWE superstar. He also revealed that after having a successful time independently, with WWE being an option, it’s time for him to return to the big leagues again. Cardona further questioned that he did it all and now it’s time to go back, so where does he go—back to WWE or AEW? 

Cardona wanted to capture the WWE World title 

He mentioned how Adam Copelaland at AEW Collision, a packed, real arena, not the Ukrainian Cultural Center in LA, and the crowd reacted to his entrance. It made him feel, ‘Ok, everything I’m doing is working,”. Furthermore, Cardona mentioned that he always wanted to be the top guy in wrestling and that his biggest goal in the business was to capture the WWE World title.

“You have to have that goal to be successful in this business. I’m very fortunate in my career, 20 years, highs and lows. But I never won the WWE World Title. That has to be the goal. Only the future will tell if Matt will get the chance to work in WWE again or not.

Former WWE chairman Vince McMahon has always encouraged WWE Superstars to make high jumps and perform risky moves that could land the company in trouble. Even though other officials, including Triple H, objected to this, Vince never let anything stand in his way. Now former WWE superstar Dolph Ziggler has revealed that Vince had a very unique trick to convince wrestlers to perform the moves he wanted. He said that Vince would never ask a talent to do something he wouldn’t have done. 

“He would never ask you to do something that he wouldn’t do. And you’re like, ‘Yeah, right. Would he do this?’ And you go, ‘Yes, he absolutely would.’ The most ridiculous thing that you could picture in your mind that would embarrass you to death, he would do it,” said Ziggler while speaking on the Busted Open Radio.  

Triple H advised this to young talents 

“The Showoff” said there were times when other superstars, including Triple H, would tell the younger wrestlers not to fall for Vince’s influence, but he always got his way. Ziggler stated that when he was in the later stages of life, there were times when Triple H or somebody else would say, “Don’t let him jump off that thing. Don’t let him get hit. Don’t let him get kicked in the face. We will be liable here.” 

Ziggler praised McMahon’s willpower 

According to him, Vince McMahon’s offer to jump off tall buildings and get punched in the face even at the age of 70 was to show wrestlers that they shouldn’t be afraid to do it themselves. And despite this, “The Game” would tell superstars not to let the former WWE chairman do it to them. Still, Dolph Ziggler says he is impressed by McMahon’s willpower. The discussion about Vince and his character, Mr. McMahon, has increased in the last few weeks due to the recently released Netflix docuseries, which is based on his life. The documentary shows negative sides of McMahon, who has already been out of the public eye since former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a sex trafficking lawsuit against him.

Brock Lesnar’s last appearance in WWE was at SummerSlam 2023. Since then, he has been away from the wrestling world. According to former WWE manager Eric Bischoff, “The Beast Incarnate” will never return to the wrestling ring. Bischoff opined that Lesnar has no reason to return to the ring as he has achieved almost everything in his wrestling career and has also earned so much money that he can spend three lives on it. So according to Bischoff, even if Lesnar plans on returning to WWE, money will be the last motivating factor for him. 

Bischoff about Brock Lesnar 

“Brock is unique. He got enough money… he could live the next three lives. His kids will never be able to spend the money that Brock has made, and beyond the money, Brock has farming. That’s his happiness, that’s his passion, that’s where Brock is at peace, from what I’ve heard,” said Bischoff. 

“The Conqueror” has been absent from WWE events mainly because his name was mentioned in a sex trafficking lawsuit that was filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant against Vince McMahon. 

Lesnar was named in Grant’s lawsuit  

Though Grant did not directly name Lesnar in her lawsuit, she indicated that the former WWE chairman sent her to a WWE superstar, who is also a big name in the UFC. She stated that Vince McMahon wanted to make a great business deal with Lesnar and he allegedly sent her to please him. Grant also alleged that Lesnar also asked her to send a video of herself urinating. The lawsuit also states that Lesnar had also planned a Playboy date with Janel, but it could not happen due to the Covid-19 lockdown.

Because Brock Lesnar’s name was indicated in the lawsuit, he was removed from appearing on WWE TV in the future. It was reported that Lesnar planned to return at Royal Rumble 2024, but he was pulled off the event and Bron Breakker replaced him. Since then, WWE has not made any statement regarding Brock Lesnar and it is expected that the former WWE champion will not return to the company until his name is cleared from the lawsuit.

Ricochet, who is currently an AEW Superstar, had planned to leave WWE in 2022, but an executive of the company stopped him. It was none other than the former Head of Talent Relations, John Laurinaitis. During his recent appearance on Talk is Jericho, Ricochet revealed that he had discussed leaving the company in 2022 with Laurinaitis. However, he gave him some inducements in a way. Laurinaitis did not stop Ricochet directly but told him that WWE plans to make him the Intercontinental Champion. 

“In 2022, I went to Laurinaitis and said, ‘I think I want to quit.’ He replied, ‘We’re thinking about putting you in an Intercontinental Championship match. How do you feel about that? Is that something you are still interested in?” said Ricochet. 

Ricochet was never considered a main-event star 

The former WWE superstar explained that it was the right time for him to consider leaving WWE because, like many other superstars, he was frustrated with his booking. Initially, he had no interest in becoming Intercontinental Champion, but before he could give a clear answer, he was already booked to face the champion. Ricochet eventually won the Intercontinental Championship, although his reign ended when Gunther defeated him. Gunther held the title for 666 days.

Despite his success, Ricochet was never booked for the WWE championship or placed in any high-profile title matches, which might have led him to eventually leave the company. “When contract seasons comes around, if I don’t feel valued… then I know it’s okay to just walk,” said Ricochet. In May 2024, when his contract was about to expire, he expressed his desire to leave WWE, which led to his release. On 25 August 2024, he made his debut for Tony Khan’s AEW at the biggest PLE event of the year, All In. Ricochet spent nearly six years with the Stamford-based promotion, during which time he became United States Champion, Intercontinental Champion, NXT North American Champion, and also Speed Champion. Unfortunately, he was never seen as a main-event superstar despite his amazing wrestling skills.

Vince McMahon’s WCW enemy Eric Bischoff has now come out in the defense of former WWE chairman. This may come as a surprise for many, as he came out in support of Vince McMahon at a time when the whole world is against him. Bischoff said that the devilish portrayal of Vince in the recently released Netflix docuseries is intentional and is part of a conspiracy between Netflix and TKO. 

Bischoff took a dig at Netflix and TKO 

Speaking on a recent episode of his 83 week podcast, Bischoff said that the first two episodes of the docuseries ‘Mr. McMahon’ fail Vince as they show a small glimpse of his struggle with his abusive stepfather. Bischoff further stated that many aspects of Vince McMahon’s life will be a great inspiration to people, including rising from a life of poverty and becoming a billionaire businessman through his hard work. However, Bischodd says that the docuseries does not show that aspect of his life, although several interviews were taken, including an interview with Vince McMahon, detailing his traumatic childhood.  

“That’s a hero’s journey in a way and I feel like Netflix, ad to a degree TKO, is going to do to Vince McMahon what Vince McMahon did to Bret Hart going to f*** him in the end,” said Bischoff. He explained why Netflix and TKO don’t want that part of McMahon’s life to be seen in the light of day because it would make him too sympathetic which TKO and Netflix wouldn’t want for Vince. 

The former WWE chairman also slammed the show makers

“This was intentional. There is a mission behind it, there is a purpose behind it. I think it’s TKO’s way of divorcing—in the public eye—completely from Vince McMahon and the only way to do that is to make him the devil,” said Eric Bischoff. Vince himself criticized the showmakers just a day before the release of the docuseries and stated that producers intentionally created a misleading narrative around his image. McMahon said the show mixes up his character and urged viewers to be aware that there are two sides to a story when watching the series.

The recently released Netflix docuseries on the life of Vince McMahon is sure to upset some people in WWE. Even though Vince is no longer associated with the company, the docuseries might bring out a negative reaction from his well-wishers in WWE. The series shows the dark things and some of the most controversial moments of the former WWE Chairman’s life. Even though many WWE people like Shane McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Triple H and Bruce Prichard appeared in the documentary, many people must have this question in their mind: Was WWE allowed a say in the final cut before its release? 

Show’s producers answered this question 

According to one of the executive producers, David Shoemaker, WWE was involved in the beginning but had no say in the final edit. Speaking on the Bill Simmons podcast, David said, “I mean, people that work at WWE might have snuck screeners somehow, but for the most part, they are going to be seeing it the same that the world sees it.” 

Another producer, Bill Simmons, also expressed this opinion on whether WWE had any say in the final cut of the show. He said that they were given full access to their library, which was a part of the deal, but the company had no involvement in the final edit. 

“We did have access to their entire library. Everything we wanted. That was part of the deal. We tried to have balance in every direction as much as we possibly could,” said Simmons. In short, both David Shoemaker and Bill Simmons made it clear that WWE or Vince McMahon had no part in deciding what would ultimately happen and how the show would be produced. The shooting of the docuseries began before July 2022, before McMahon’s hush-money scandal broke out. 

Vince slammed the makers for misleading viewers 

After that, those incidents were noted for the series, along with the sex trafficking lawsuit by former WWE employee Janel Grant, which was filed against the former WWE chairman in January 2024. One day before the release of the docuseries, Vince slammed the producers of the show for creating a misleading narrative around his image on the show. He also asked the viewers to keep an open mind while watching the show and remember that there can be two sides to a story.

The recently released Netflix documentary named “Mr. McMahon” has revealed many things behind the scenes of WWE. The showmakers interviewed many people who have worked backstage for years. One of them is Vince McMahon’s daughter, Stephanie McMahon. Her on-air personality is different from her in real life. Stephanie has mostly played a heel character in WWE and has appeared as a problematic woman in WWE storylines. However, in real life, she is quite different.

In the “Mr. McMahon” docuseries, Stephanie opened up about becoming a heel in WWE at the behest of her father, Vince McMahon. The former WWE chairwoman stated that she kept doing the heel character because the WWE Universe accepted her in that role and loved her for it. 

“I have a big smile on my face because that means the audience is participating. Anytime the audience is participating, they are loving what it is you’re doing. Steph became this great heel. She was willing to do anything. She has always been, ‘Whatever you want, dad.’ She knows what I’m trying to do,” said Stephanie McMahon. 

Stephanie refused this storyline from Vince 

Stephanie further explained that early in her career she was always ready to do whatever her father asked her to do. “When I was younger in my career, I was always ready to do whatever he wanted. I look back on some of the stuff I did and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe I did that.’” said Stephanie. She was also asked if she found it weird that her father was asking her to do such things. Steph stated that she found it a little weird sometimes, but then she also knew it was part of the business.

However, Stephanie once refused Vince McMahon when he asked her to be part of an incest storyline in which Stephanie would be found to be pregnant with Vince’s child. She did not talk about this in the docuseries and clearly said, “We won’t talk about the stories I denied,” but she admitted it in another interview, saying that this was the only time she refused her father’s storyline proposal. 

Stephanie McMahon resigned as WWE chairwoman and co-CEO after Vince came out of retirement and took over as chairman of WWE in January 2023. Since then, she has been seen in WWE only once and that was on Day 2 of WrestleMania 40.

Former WWE Superstar Ricochet is one of the most talented and brilliant wrestlers to ever step in the wrestling ring. He made his debut in 2018 and then went on to become a one-time WWE NXT Champion, Intercontinental Champion and United States Champion. However, despite being known for his high-flying abilities, Ricochet was never booked in a WWE title match, and although he had incredible moves, he was always placed as a mid-card wrestler. On several occasions, Ricochet displayed skills that seemed impossible for any other superstar to replicate. 

Vince expressed surprise at his move  

Ricochet recently revealed that he never received much recognition for his incredible moves. Instead, he was often told to tone it down. During a recent appearance on Talk is Jericho, Ricochet shared an incident where former WWE Champion Vince McMahon expressed surprise at a move he did, even comparing it to John Cena’s abilities. The incident took place during a match against the heel group Retribution, which included Mustafa Ali, T-Bar, Mace, Slapjack, and Retaliation. Despite losing the match, one of the moves Ricochet performed caught Vince’s attention. 

I remember when I came back everyone’s like, ‘Oh, it’s great,’ and then, I remember Vince being like, ‘Yeah that was too spectacular. John Cena couldn’t even do that.’ In my mind, I’m thinking, well no. No he can’t do that. He literally can’t do that. I understand. I agree with you,” said Ricochet. 

The former WWE superstar considered talking his boss 

Ricochet admitted that Vince McMahon’s strange comment confused him. He considered talking to Vince about it in detail, but ultimately decided against it, fearing it would lead to an argument with his boss, which he definitely wanted to avoid.

“So I just say, ‘Okay…’ What am I gonna do, start an argument with Vince? No,” said the former WWE superstar. He requested his release from the company after his contract expired in July 2024. After leaving WWE, he made his debut in Tony Khan’s promotion, AEW, on August 25, 2024, at the company’s biggest PPV event, All In.
